I started studying with Layne Redmond around 1994 which began on the tambourine.

I had the privilege to also assist and perform with her along the west coast of California.
She was known as a Master Frame drummer, teacher, author, historian, mythologist, composer, recording artist, film maker, educator, world traveller, yogini and Bee Priestess.

She has changed many lives along the way and opened a path for many women to drum, to create sacred ritual space and follow their dreams.
She has left a legacy of resources to be continued to be shared for generations to come.
She has written a number of books, recorded many music projects, written articles, created instructional material on cd, dvd and youtube, designed her own line of signature series drums with REMO, produced films, and has researched and collected thousands of images of women frame drummers recovering their historic significance.
She was inducted into the Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame Nov. 11th 2021
